Ratlami Sev — The King of Indian Namkeen, Made the Clean Way

Thick, spicy, clove-and-pepper besan sev made to the authentic Ratlam recipe — fried only in 100% pure groundnut oil. No palm oil. No trans fat. No preservatives. Small-batch fresh from our FSSAI-licensed facility in Rajasthan, delivered pan-India.

What is Ratlami Sev?

Ratlami sev is a spicy, crunchy namkeen from Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh — one of India's most loved and most searched snacks. Unlike ordinary sev, authentic Ratlami sev is thicker, with a softer crunch, and its signature masala of cloves, black pepper and warm spices is kneaded into the besan dough itself, not just dusted on top. The recipe goes back over a century, when Ratlam's sev-makers perfected the laung-mirch blend that made this humble gram-flour snack legendary. We make it the same traditional way — with one healthy difference: the oil.

Ratlami Sev Ingredients — and the Groundnut Oil Difference

Real Ratlami sev needs only honest ingredients: premium chickpea flour (besan) for its protein-rich body, cloves and black pepper for the signature aroma and slow-building heat, red chilli, ajwain and rock salt for the authentic Ratlam masala profile — and the frying oil that decides everything. Most commercial sev today is fried in cheap palm oil. We refuse. Our Ratlami sev is fried exclusively in 100% pure groundnut oil, the medium this snack was always meant for — lighter crunch, nuttier depth, cleaner label. No palm oil, no trans fat, no artificial colours, no preservatives, no MSG. It costs us more. It's worth it.

Why Our Ratlami Sev is Different

Rajasthan's first namkeen brand to commit to 100% groundnut oil across every product. Small batches, fresh production, nitrogen-flushed packs that lock in factory crunch without a single preservative — and whole cloves ground in-house, blended into the dough the way Ratlam intended. Swaad bhi, Sehat bhi.
