A Simple Chamomile Tea Recipe

Today, I’m going to share a chamomile tea recipe that can provide relief from period pain. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 chamomile tea bag

  • 1 tablespoon dried chamomile flour (which you can easily get in any grocery shop)

  • 1 inch of grated ginger

  • Honey or jaggery (optional)

  • Lemon slices (optional)

Now, let’s see how to make this tea:

  1. First, boil water in a pot or kettle.

  2. Place the chamomile tea bag or dried chamomile flour in a teapot or a heat-proof container.

  3. Add grated ginger to the teapot and then pour the hot water over it.

  4. Cover it and let it steep for about 5 to 7 minutes to allow the flavor to infuse.

  5. Strain the tea into your mug.

  6. If you want, add honey or jaggery for taste.

  7. Garnish with lemon slices if you like.

I would recommend this chamomile tea for easing any period pain because it has lots of benefits. It contains anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce swelling. Chamomile also has antispasmodic properties that will nicely relax your uterus and abdominal muscles. It will have a mild sedative effect that can reduce tension and anxiety that you may sometimes have during your period. But the best thing is that chamomile can regulate your hormones. When your estrogen and progesterone are in balance, the severity of your period pain will reduce. Chamomile also improves blood flow and circulation, ensuring that enough oxygen and nutrients reach your abdominal area.
