Turkey and Chickpea chilli

Turkey and chickpea chili is a fantastic dish that combines the lean protein of turkey with the fiber-rich chickpeas for a satisfying and nutritious meal. This chili is not only packed with flavor but also provides a good source of protein, vitamins, and minerals.

Ingredients

–  1 tbsp olive oil

–  ¼ cup white onion

–  ½ clove Garlic

–  ¼ cup red bell pepper

–  4 0z lean ground turkey

–  1 tomatoe

–  1.5 0z chickpeas

–  ¼ tbsp chilli powder

–  ⅛ tbsp salt

Instructions:

1. In a large pot, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium heat. 

2. Add in the white onion, garlic, and red bell pepper. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

3. Add in the lean ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.

4. Stir in the chopped tomato and chickpeas. 

5. Season with chili powder and salt.

6. Let the chili simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

7. Serve hot and enjoy!
