Introduction
There are many advantages to using home remedies for hair loss. Home remedies are free of harsh chemicals and have no side effects. They save time, have a holistic effect, and usually, the materials are easily available. In this blog, we will explore some effective home remedies for hair loss.
Onion Curry Leaf Hair Mask
The first remedy we will discuss is the onion curry leaf hair mask. Onions contain dietary sulfur, which helps in the production of carotene and other enzymes in your scalp, promoting healthy hair growth. Curry leaves are rich in antioxidants, making your hair stronger.
To make this mask, blend a few pieces of onion in a grinder with a little water and strain the juice. Grind a fistful of curry leaves into a smooth paste. Add the onion juice to the paste and mix well. Apply this mixture to your scalp and hair, leave it on for an hour, and wash it off using a mild shampoo. Use this mask once a week for best results.
Fenugreek Seeds and Hibiscus Hair Mask
The next hair mask is made from fenugreek seeds and hibiscus. Fenugreek seeds are rich in iron and protein, which are essential for healthy hair growth. Hibiscus flowers and leaves contain flavonoids, which improve blood circulation to your hair follicles and prevent hair fall.
To prepare this mask, soak 2 tablespoons of fenugreek seeds in 1 cup of water overnight. Boil the seeds in the same water after cooling. Grind the seeds into a paste using the same water and add three to four hibiscus leaves with hibiscus flower. Massage the paste onto your scalp and leave it for 30 minutes. Rinse your hair with lukewarm water and a mild shampoo. Apply this mask twice a week for optimal results.
Aloe Vera and Olive Oil Hair Treatment
Aloe vera contains vitamins that contribute to scalp rejuvenation, while olive oil is a rich source of vitamin A and E, which strengthen hair strands and stimulate hair follicles.
For this treatment, take 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel and add 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a bowl. Mix well and use this mixture to massage your scalp for 10 minutes. Leave it on for another 30 minutes and then wash your scalp with a mild shampoo. You can use this treatment once or twice a week.
Natural Shampoo with Soap Nuts
Finally, let’s explore a complete natural shampoo recipe using soap nuts. Soap nuts contain saponin, a natural cleaning agent that thoroughly cleans your scalp and hair. They also have a mild refreshing scent.
To make the shampoo, tie three to four soap nuts in a muslin cloth and keep them in a pan with one cup of water. Bring it to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 10 minutes. Add half a cup of water and simmer for 10 more minutes. Remove from heat and allow it to cool. Squeeze the bundle of soap nuts until the soapy solution comes out. Rinse the bundle with a little water and squeeze again to collect the soapy solution. Add 1 teaspoon of amla powder and 1 teaspoon of shikakai powder to the solution. Massage this soapy solution onto your scalp, let it sit for 5 minutes, and rinse well. You can use this shampoo once or twice a week. It is also suitable for those who suffer from eczema and psoriasis.
Conclusion
Along with these natural remedies, it is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Eating a balanced diet and not skipping meals are essential for preventing hair fall, as fasting deprives the body of essential nutrients. Meditation and pranayama can help keep your mind balanced, and regular exercise promotes overall health. By taking care of yourself both internally and externally, you can achieve healthy, fit, and beautiful hair.
